Chess Instructor
ALBERT ABZALIMOV
Albert Abzalimov is a 2025 graduate at Bergen County Academies who started playing chess at around 10 years old. After he started winning against his dad, he decided to start learning chess at ICA, where his passion for the game really began to grow. He always found the community enjoyable and welcoming. He attended many tournaments, such as Amateur Team East, in which he always had a great time.
Albert first started teaching kids this spring when he was invited to become an instructor. He immediately joined because he wants to spread his admiration for chess and hopefully instill the same in others. Now he enjoys chess as a hobby he will keep for the rest of his life, and he is glad he found ICA to welcome him into a friendly chess community.
